Racine Public Library retained SVS to assist in the replacement of their aging Bookmobile. 

The SVS team analyzed the existing Bookmobile, consulted with the Racine Public Library team, and set about developing a vehicle to meet all of their needs.  Numerous obstacles were identified and overcome as the design, specifications and prospective vendor list were completed.  SVS issued and analyzed the RFP process, and subsequently managed the construction of the new Bookmobile.

This unique unit is a  example of traditional Bookmobile services enhanced with cutting-edge "smart" electronics systems to aid in longevity and operability.  It is a 37-foot, rear engine Bookmobile featuring two-way data satellite systems, microprocessor climate control, extended use "generator off" power systems, and fully automatic battery charging systems with automatic generator control. 

This vehicle was designed to keep itself healthy for years to come, with a minimum of maintenance and/or operator interaction - saving the taxpayers thousands of dollars over the life of the vehicle.
